about

Plates is collection of 8 prime cuts, selected and presented by Main Course's very own BOT. House music is what drove him to start DJing so many years back, and has been the main inspiration behind what we present, as a label, and individually as DJs. You'll see some familiar names on the track list, as these tunes were hand picked from from our good friends, and exciting new talents we've found along the way. The goal was to compile an album of strong house tracks that bring something unique to the table, while at the same time avoiding the current cliches of the genre. We excitedly present Plates, a collection of different flavours and ingredients, studio fresh from our talented roster of world class chefs!

Starting things off, we head to New York, where Tony Quattro presents 'My House' with vocal seasonings from the animated subway performer Showtime Willy. Next up, Smalltown DJs (Fools Gold, Main Course), Christian Martin (Dirtybird) & Sabo (Sol Selectas) combine and complement the vibe with 'Sandia'. BOT makes his first pairing of the compilation alongside Buffalo based up and comers Eyes Everywhere on the low tuned 'Day Job'. New to our kitchen, 17 year old Landis LaPace checks in from Miami with, 'The Heat', fittingly, and it's a scorcher! Skitzofrenix kindly contributes a Chicago styled bonus mix of 'Bounce' to the menu, following up on the massive success and supports of the original (which include Oliver Heldens, Tchami & A-Trak). Another relative newcomer, Slowbody joins BOT for his 2nd of 3 collaborations on the album entitled 'The Dream'. The 3rd tag team effort then comes immediately after, as frequent collaborator, and Main Course bredren Astronomar joins in for 'Magic Jargon' – always a winning combination! Plates then serves one final pairing, suited for late nights and late tastes courtesy of Kid Kamillion and Jesse Slayter. Two incredibly skilled craftsmen in their own right, together they deliver the anthemic 'Warehouse' signaling the end of Plates for now, but only just the start of something special...
